First time in all our years of RVing we found "Silver" Our tow car has the battery run down. Guess you are supposed to start them periodically if you tow for a long time. On our older cars the radio pops out but not new ones so I guess that drain was enough to do it. Oh well, no problem, Good Sam will arrive this morning and jump it. We have jumper cables but would be impossible to jump the car with the motorhome since we cannot move it, of course we could ask a neighbor, but we will just take advantage of our policy.
Activities: Took Sally and Lady and the "old man" down by the river wading yesterday..and was pleasantly surprised to find out my little Rescue pup, Sally, jumped right in the water when I waded out...gotta love that doggie!
Technical Problems: Even with all our checklists for "landing" and "taking off" somehow the electrical connection cord that connects from "Black Beauty" (motorhome) and "Silver" got loose and ran along the highway tearing away most of the plastic coating...oops we have now secured it and is still working, thankfully, since it would not be wise to go very far without break and signal lites on your tow car and that is not something you can just pop into a store and buy.
Also, had the change oil lite come on in Black Beauty, have never seen that before, checked oil and was one quart low, but not sure that is why that lite came on, so will bear that it mind as we continue.
Food: Last nite was chicken and dumplins..We are making an effort to avoid fast food so have tried to keep ahead of the game by having stuff ready. Today will make a large corned beef and cabbage and a pot of low fat Chili con Carne by Jim. Also will BBQ a bunch of low fat hamburgers and I think freeze them with the low carb skinny bread and then can "cook" them on the road, add lettuce tomatoe and secret sauce, got to be better than McDonald's! Have brought the scale with us, so that may scare us into behaving ourselves!
Will make new batch for me of protein smoothies, yes don't leave home without a blender!
Ok now that you are bored to death..I will quit for the day, this has to be one of the most beautiful campgrounds anywhere, really beautiful hens, roosters and a family off ducks are meandering through this morning.
